Deep Water Running & Aqua

I am a WETS trained accredited Aqua and Deep Water Running (DWR) instructor. I turned to Deep Water Running when my knee injuries made it virtually impossible to get a cardio workout any other way.  The beauty of  Aqua and DWR lies in the fact that not only can you achieve a full cardio workout and improve your flexibility but it is gentle on the body because there is no pounding on the joints.  After my first DWR class I knew I wanted to be an aqua instructor because I know it works.  During my first class I started to feel human again after what seemed like years in the dumps over restricted movement.  I encourage everyone to try a class near you.  If you think it’s only for old ladies then think again.  Research has shown that Deep Water Running  is used by elite athletes to recover from injuries and to cross train relieving pressure on the joints.  It’s fun, it creates a sense of community and in addition to a cardio workout you achieve greater flexibility.

Palm Beach Aquatic Centre  on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8:30am to 9:30am; and

Gold Coast Aquatic Centre on Monday and Tuesday nights from 6:00pm – 7:00pm (depending on the season – please check first).
