Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, I live and work on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Currently I work in the fitness industry (spin, deep water running and aqua) with a background in corporate law and academia. I have a PhD in Creative Writing, the value of which, depending on my mood and the position of the moon, I consider to be entirely useless or deeply enriching on any given day. Sometimes this position shifts on an hourly basis.
I have been writing all my life. The purpose of this blog is to hold me accountable and show up for my work.
I’m currently entering a phase of completions. This means that I am actively trying to complete all my outstanding projects which include a number of manuscripts covering issues such as Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Living in the London, growing up in Scientology and long distance running. There is also a patchwork, some oil paintings and a story about Irish Daffodils and a lost love.
I strive to be busy. This conflicts with my Level One Yoga Teacher’s Training Course which is all about just being and letting things go. You can see my problem. The struggle is real and it continues.
